Overview of funded broadband projects at schools and hospitals
The creation of fibre-optic networks is fundamentally the task of the market. In areas where economic development is not possible for network operators, the federal and state governments are jointly promoting expansion. To this end, the Federal Government launched the Federal Broadband Development Programme in 2015. The country participates in the financing (co-financing). The dataset contains an overview of the funding projects co-financed by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which were finally approved by the federal government. The overview shows the broadband projects at schools. There are further data sets for commercial areas as well as for land projects.
