Brownfield Register
Brownfield lands are areas of previously developed land available for residential and mixed-use developments. All local planning authorities are required to publish a Brownfield Land Register to encourage delivery of housing and investment in the area. Brownfield sites that are below 0.25 hectares may not be shown on the map. The GIS files show the indicative boundaries, please contact the relevant London Borough to confirm accuracy. National statistics review of tax credit statistics: results
Following the recent national statistics review of tax credit statistics a summary of responses have been published on the HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) website. There were almost 140 responses to the consultation and this initial report summarises the results from the user consultation established to identify the needs of customers as well as their feedback on the publications. The consultation ran from 23 May 2011 to 31 August 2011 and covered tax credit national statistics and official statistics publications using an online survey. HMRC is very grateful to all users who participated in the survey. A detailed report on the survey results and consultation will follow in the tax year 2012 to 2013.

The site allows users to: - Search for public notices such as planning and licensing in an area - Check roadworks and restrictions on any chosen route - Search archived notices across the country - Register to receive alerts by text or email on notices in an area - Select an area on the map, or from the list below to view notices in that area This service is supported by an API that allows REST queries returning data in JSON or XML format. The API allows GET requests for notices in bulk, individually, by type (Planning, Traffic, General, Licensing and Councillor Surgeries) and also details and lists of organisations. The API also allows POST request for upload of notices by authorised users and organisations. Doorstep Greens (England) Points
The Doorstep Greens initiative provides new or renovated areas of public open space close to people's homes that could be enjoyed permanently by the local community. The initiative is a joint Natural England and New Opportunities Fund project. The initiative is aimed at targeting communities who experience disadvantage and where regeneration of the local environment and outdoor recreation provision is sorely needed. Environmentally Sensitive Area Scheme Agreements (England)
Master versions of ESA holding data. The Environmentally Sensitive Areas Scheme was introduced in 1987 to offer incentives to encourage farmers to adopt agricultural practices which would safeguard and enhance parts of the country of particularly high landscape, wildlife or historic value. The scheme has now closed to new applicants. Defra introduced a new Environmental Stewardship Scheme on 3 March 2005 which supersedes (with enhancements) the Environmentally Sensitive Areas and Countryside Stewardship Schemes. Great Crested Newt - Risk Zones (Somerset)
This dataset identifies areas where the distribution of great crested newts (GCN) has been categorised into zones relating to GCN occurrence and the level of impact development is likely to have on this species. Red zones contain key populations of GCN, which are important on a regional, national or international scale and include designated Sites of Special Scientific Interest for GCN. Amber zones contain main population centres for GCN and comprise important connecting habitat that aids natural dispersal. Green zones contain sparsely distributed GCN and are less likely to contain important pathways of connecting habitat for this species. White zones contain no GCN. However, as most of England forms the natural range of GCN, white zones are rare and will only be used when it is certain that there are no GCN.
